Sent to Health Experts March 21 08:35 PM

I kissed someone that thinks she might have herpes, all we did was kiss she had no visual lessions or anything. She told me after we kissed and when she left I downed a bottle of listerine, could that have helped me just in case. It has been longer than 12 days and no signs of an outbreak or anything, I do have flu like symptoms just the fever and headache but i have no outbreaks on my face anywhere.

If she didn't have any open sores on her lips or the inside of her mouth then the chance of you getting herpes from her is very very low. There are 2 types of herpes. The most common one is the one that causes cold sores. It is very common. If you notice sores on your genitals or your lips see a doctor and get it checked out. Reply to James Grant's Post: What about the fever and headaches that I have been having. Do the sores come before the flu symptoms or is it the other way around
