My doctor recommended taking one dose Diflucan to treat a persistent yeast infection. There is a possibility that I am pregnant, but just pregnant, still two weeks until I get my period. Do you think this is safe for the possible fetus? I have used monistat and three day dose of terazole. No luck.

FDA pregnancy category C. This means that it is not known whether it will be harmful to an unborn babe. Do not take without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant during treatment.

Reply to Lindie's Post: i know this information. I could become pregnant while taking it and may already be. This doesn't help me in deciding. I am looking for a second opinion from a doctor.
