what is the best treatment for an outer ear infection? The ER doctor recomended cipro antibiotic {oral} and neosporin. Its not working very well. the discharge is considerable. are there any other solutions and is there a bacterial and or a viral? and if so is the right steps being taken in this case?

cipro and neosporin and washing area with antibacterial soap atleast once every 5 hours.
