I have a 2 month old son, who has had a problam

I have a 2 month old son, who has had a problam with his breathing. The doctor told me that it was something to do with the cartalige in his throt. I can't remember what it was called. Can you help?

Is it tracheomalacia? I can possibly be more specific if you can give me any problems he had at birth and any treatments he's had since then. Judy
