I have a small lump in the upper portion of my chest, right under my collar bone....I had pain in that area after a workout several weeks ago and now it is not as painful but I feel a small lump there just the same. I am worrried that it could be something bad.

Hello

While you will want to show it to your doctor, (we can't really tell you what it is without testing, examination), it could be things such as a swollen lymph node or a fatty tumor called a lipoma. These are benign. Your best bet is to have that clarified by a doctor in person though. :) If it is a swollen lymph node, it should continue to get better over the next few weeks.

A swollen lymph node is the result of our bodies fighting off a virus or an infection. Since it is near your collar bone, this could be a cold, or ear infection, or throat/sinus/ear issue.

Lipoma's just happen, and some people are more prone to them.
