What is Micarta? Husband is currently taking Chemo for Mesothelioma and would like to know about Micarta.

Is this a medication? If it is, is this the proper spelling? I am unaware of it otherwise, but if you can get me some more information about it (is it prescription or over the counter, how did you hear of it, etc.) then I will try and get you an answer.

Hi Doris,

I answered your question earlier, but I'm not sure what happened to it. Micarta is a form of asbestos which is known for causing Mesothelioma. There are a lot of lawesuits behind it, and I suspect may be why your doctor mentioned it.
