My dermatologist diagnosed me with keratosis ...

Sent to Health Experts May 04, 2006 10:30 p.m.

My dermatologist diagnosed me with keratosis pilaris/follicularis. I have red bumps on my forearms that turn into small sores with a hair growing in them. The doctor said that the pores that the hair follicle is growing in gets clogged, hence causing a sore. The sores can last up to a month because the hair is trying to push through the scab. Do you think that waxing the hair off my arms professionally would help the pores to remain unclogged?
