How can you tell if you child has allerigies or if the puff red eyes and stuffed nose is from something else. Lynette

You could be dealing with a cold but with puffy eyes at this time of year, I would bet on allergies. Examination of the inner nose often shows telltale signs of allergy (the doctor can look in with a nasal speculum)
Allergies produce pale and puffy tissues in the nose vs the red angry tissue seen with a cold.
