What is the treatment for a bakers cyst?

I have had a bakers cyst before and I don't remember what the treatment was. It is a very painful lump behind my right knee and has pained the entire leg and it was swollen before I went to bed but it is down when I got up.It has no redness arouind it, just painful!

There are home remedies that can be done. But it is still something you should have your doctor look at, as some may need to be handled via surgery.

Some home things can include ice pack, ibuprofen/Motrin for inflammation and pain, some feel heat pad helps better than an ice pack, possible brace.
