My right ankle seems to only swell up in the summer time. The warmer it gets the bigger it gets. Any thoughts as to the reason because my doctor doesnt seem to know.

This could be the result of increased sodium concentrations in your diet. The hot weather can increase this if you are not getting enough fluids.

My best advice is to try drinking as much water as possible through out the day, and cut down on sodium or salt in your diet. If you look at labels on foods, there are several with very high content of sodium. Even diet sodas have a ton.

hope that helps, it is what works for me!

Reply to Kerry's Post: Unfortunately i dont agree with this answer. I drink about 80 oz of water per day and i dont consume a lot of salt and it is definitely the same salt intake or maybe less that i intake in the winter. Any other suggestions.
