I started taking Ortho Tri-cyclen about 4 months ago, The first pack I started on, my monthly menstrual cycle was right on track with the pills, When I started this month which was on time according to my birth control pills, it is not my normal cycle, it is brown, very light, not normal at all. I have been VERY exhausted, even after a "good" nights rest, also I have noticed that this morning I noticed the back of my legs itching extremly bad, such as a mosquito bite, but that wasn't what it was, I have been going to the rest room more often and have been really moody, are these side effects of my birth controll, or what is going on?

These can be side effects of the pill for some. However I would also see your doctor to make sure there is nothing else going on, such as infection, UTI or anything along those lines first. It may be that this type of BCP is not right for you.. which is sounds like you started out fine with them, as most do have irregular menstruation etc., the first few months. But with the need to urinate more and so forth, do see your doctor and let him know.

Best of luck, Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *accept* button!
