Headache and Stiff Neck for three days!!!

I woke up Friday morning about 3am with a headache. It was different than any headache I have ever dad. It was hard to turn my neck, when I did turn my neck it made the pain more intense (to a slight degree) and it made my vision hazy off and on (the first day). I have had migrains before and thought that it was just a "different" type of migrain. But it has been three days now and I am doubting that it's a migrain. My parents warned me of miningitis and looking back, I am now worried because my Great Dane killed a opposium in the yard on Wednesday and I had to drag it off (using a long metal rod more than 10 feet long). It had this terrible odor (and yet it had just been killed). So, now that I have had this headache for three days I am worried that it might not be "just" a headache. Do I have a concern to see the Dr.? Are there other signs I can look for, to help me lead to some idea of what kind of headache I have? Should I be worried about rabies or any other illness the animal could have been carrying (my dog drouls alot and I am sure she probably licked me before I found the opposium)?
