I had food poisoning at about 1:30 am last night and I was having diarreah and vomiting until about 3 am. I'm still having symptoms and I am now having a bloody discharge when I go diarreah. Do I need to get medical attention or will this pass? I'm in between jobs and I don't have insurance. What should I do?

Dear Lisa,
Blood in stools unfortnately indicates the possibility of a bacterial diarrhea, and this is likely to worsen if prescription antibiotics are not taken to control it. I understand your problem, but I would advise seeing a doctor ASAP, so that further complications can be avoided..
OF course you need to continue taking the supporitive care (like fluids / yoghurt) in addition to the prescription medicines,
