i have a yeast infection and my doctor gave me a pill ...

i have a yeast infection and my doctor gave me a pill that you take once and get rid of it but it is still there and is bothering me. i have used monistat before and it has worked but my yeast infection is around the clitoris area? what can i do to get rid of it?
