axillary to axillary bypass with carotid endorectomy

Sent to Health Experts July 09 04:06 PM

My 63yr old Mother is having surgery, Axillary to Axillary bypass and carotid endocrectomy. She is diabetic, and hypertensive. Her atatomy his difficulty with little to no neck, due to her weight. She is obesse however not morbid. I have been unable to find anyone who has had this surgery and am looking to find information on what to expect as far as recovery. I understand the procedures themselves. Just not sure what the recovery for this will be. She had a previous endorectomy on the other side 2 years ago, and she had a very difficult time.
