I have had vaginal pain for 3 months. No itching and no discharge. Tested for UTI and it was negative. There is a slight reddening of the vulva on the left side. My doctor finally took a vaginal culture and it was positive for strep. I have been on Cipro for 48 hrs and the pain is not getting better. How did I get this and how long before I see a lessening of the pain which is becoming intolerable? Thanks for any help or advice.
