I have what I believe to be a swollen lymph node under my armpit. I noticed it while I was showering so its only a couple of days old. It is sensitive to touch and from the outside looks like a big pimple. When I touch it, it has the feel of a node. I feel pain when I touch it. My only lifestyle change is that I have been lifting weights for a couple of months. I read a q & a on lymphoma and swelling appears to be free of pain in that case. Thoughts?

Hello,

It would not be a complication or side effect of weight lifting. It is the sign of an infection.

As it is wollen & Painful to touch, I would suggest making an apppointment with your doctor for an an exam, prescription of antibiotics and an accurate diagnosis.

It is highly unlikely this is associated with lymphoma, as you would be experiencing other symptoms.

Enlarged nymph nodes are common and usually resolve in a few days after treatment begins.
