The number one MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do right now is to quit smoking. I'm sure your doctor has already told you this. The smoke you inhale is damaging your lungs so that they cannot heal and fight the infection causing your chronic bronchitis.

The good news is is that if you do quit smoking your lungs can begin to heal and you will be less likely to develop lung cancer. There are ways to help you quit smoking. Your doctor is a good resource for this and I would be glad to help you explore this option.

Your back pain could possibly be muscle strain from coughing so much. Your fatigue is most likely your body being tired from fighting the bronchitis.

If you are seeing a general practice doctor and feel you need another opinion, try to see an internist or a pulmonary (lung) specialist.

Is there any way I can help you further?

Relist: I still need help.
so the lung nodules are nothing to worry about and that if more are found then what does that mean?
