lump underneath right breast
Sent to Health Experts July 19 11:14 AM

last monday night I found a lump right underneath my right breast. I made an appointment with my doctor the following day. My dctr was out, and the dr that I saw said that I had an abscess ( boil ). The lump was, and still is hard as a rock, not movable, and about the size of my thumbnail. The dr prescribed keflex, (and anitbiotic) and told me to do warm compresses for 20 minutes, 3-4 times daily. I have followed this and here it is a week later and nothing has changed. The lump is still exactly the same. There is no redness or swelling to the area.

Since there is no change, I would go back, especially since you have done the compresses and etc. Also try to see your own doctor if you can this time. It can still be a boil, which is just not coming to a head to drain. But without seeing this in person I can't say for sure on my end. However, since it's been over a week, I would follow back up for an in person evaluation.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don’t forget to click the *Accept* button.
