My brother in law has been on anti seizure ...

My brother in law has been on anti seizure medication for epilepsy which he developed in his teens he is now 53. Initially he was on dilantin but was switched to Depakote for the longest. Lately he has developed some parkinson type symptoms. Is there any information on long term use of this drug that produces these symptoms?
