It can be caused by a few different things. Stress, weight gain, exercise, are all reasons that could interfere with your periods regularity. Some women stay regular all their lives while others deal with irregularity. It's not really a cause for concern unless it happens continually or you don't get your period for a few month, then you may want to see a doctor for a checkup.
