I am 42 years old and going through a great deal of stress right now. I have not had a period for three months and I have just noticed a bump on my genital area outside of my vagina. It is not open or white but it hurts. what could this be?

This could be a deep cyst or what is called a bartholin's cyst. I suggest seeing your doctor for further evaluation of that and the lack of your period. The lack of period could be the beginning of menopause, also known as perimenopause.

Reply to Kerry's Post: Thank you so much. I will go to the doctors for this. You are right I have two bumps on both sides just like you described. Wow. I hope that is all it is. worried about herpes or something.
