Dear Rosie,
I am unable to identify Diamoxol, even through the National Library of Medicine.
The drug Diamox has been around for decades. It is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor which today has limited use (e.g., glaucoma) because of the advent of better agents for its original purpose.
The drugs you are taking are absolutely standard for your disease. Please do not make any changes without consulting your physician.
I am a 74-year-old kidney transplant doctor who is diabetic and required kidney transplant himself due to the diabetes. I know what can happen; I did not always listen to my doctor -- I was too busy taking care of other people to take care of myself.
If you have other questions, let me know.
Doctor Nash
