the last 2 times I've had sex with my wife I get a severe headache as I climax. Have you ever heard of this, could it be serious?

Some men and women get terrible headaches prior to or after having an orgasm. Most common reason is due to blood pressure. Where there is a quick up and/or down fluctuating. There are two different types of medication--beta-blockers and calcium channel blockers--These can help prevent these types of headaches. Since you will need a prescription for either one of these drugs, you should talk to your doctor about this. It doesn't mean you need to take it daily, perhaps prior to having sex, but you do need to let your doctor know this is occurring.
