i went to the emergency room and they told me that one of intestines was swollen and i had a infection in my colon i have no money to go to the doctor what can i do to make it better or do i really need to go see a g.i doctor is it that serious

You probably need to see a GI doctor. It may be a serious problem . Please check with the secretary or the receptionist of the doctor , they may be able to offer a payment plan for you.

It is hard to tell without physical exam and without seeing lab. and x-ray results. But there is possibility that it can become serious and life threatening if it is not taken care of.
