Hello,

Every woman experiences times she would call irregular in her mentral cycle. The regular 28 day cycle with 5-7 days of bleeding is only an average.

What has your history been with your mentral cycles?

What age did you start?

Have the cycles always been unwaveringly regular?

Has your life changed in stress level lately?

Are you bleeding heavily?

It sounds like you are just going through a time in your life when your cycles may change. This happens sometimes.

Since you are not bleeding heavily for more than a few days and your periods actually end each month, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If you begin bleeding so heavily that you start feeling faint or dizzy, please see your doctor right away.

If you start a period and it just doesn't end, you also need to see your doctor.

If you stop having periods altogether, see your doctor.

Otherwise, just mention your irregularity at your next yearly pelvic exam and pap test to your doctor.
