Delaying my period

My doctor prescribed Norethisterone to delay my period, but the pharmacy got it in today and I have just started my period. If I take it now, will it stop my period by Tuesday when I leave for te beach or can she give me something else - pill/shot?

Hello

There is no way to stop a period once it has started. You can postpone it with pills but, it has to be before the beggining of the period.After the period has started Norethisterone will not play any role to shorten the period and there is no way out to predict if period will stop by tuesday.
