i was at work when my right hand swell up and began to pain ...

i was at work when my right hand swell up and began to pain really bad. the hand even became to that i could not write with it. it has been a month and the hand is still swollen up and aches all the time. i want to know if you think that it may be carpal tunnel or de quervain's disease. my hand is swoll up on the back side.

Did tou injure your hand while you were are at worK, or did your hand suddenly swell and become painful?

Does your hand tingle or become numb?

my hand is swell on the outside around the tumb area. my fingers do hurt very bad and it did swell while I was using it at work.

I would suggest having this examined by your doctor as you may have de Quervain's Disease. It would be important to see the doctor as you could also have carpal tunnel.

If you perform continual reptitive motion on your job, either condition is a distinct possibility.
