hi i have an infected cyst on my inner thigh from an ingrown hair. before i knew it was a cyst i thought it was a boil which i kept trying to pop. while trying to pop it i caused some very serious bruising this all happened yesturday. i did see a doctor and he told me to leave it alone and he also put me on antibiotics. my concern is today i seem to have new bruises all are which in the same area. should i be worried about the new bruises. i had a complete cbc about 4 weeks ago and my blood test came back normal.
thanks

REPLIED Check Mark

What appears to be new bruising is probably just old blood from deeper down that has risen up to the skin. This is common in places that have alot of muscle or fat such as the abdomen and the legs. Make sure that you take the antibiotics as prescribed and finish them even if your bump gets better. Drawing a circle around any redness will show if any redness is spreading throughout the day. If this gets worse you must see your doctor again for a stronger antibiotic. If this answer helps please hit the accept button. Thank you.

ACCEPTED Check Mark

In that case lol, I would say that it would be a good idea to see your doctor about this. There are many possibilities and most of them are probably not in connection with the cyst. You could have bumped this area not knowing or this could be a result from you trying the pop the cyst. Either way, see your doctor again just in case.
