Rectal bleeding

On Saturday I went to the emergency room because I was having some bleeding from the rectum. The blood was bright red and appeared to be from the lower bowel area.
Today, Tuesday I began vomiting it appears to be bile, but I have no gall bladder. Since yesterday my bowel movements (if you call it that) are very black. It seems if this was from the lower area it wouldn't be black. Couldn't get into my doctor until next week. Should I go to the emergency room?
