I have had no period for 4 months. I was on Birth control for 3 years. I stopped my birth control in march- had NO period in April, I DID have a period in May and NOW haven't had one since? I want to know if there is something wrong with me?? Am I still ovulating?? Me and My Husband would like to have a baby when he comes home from Iraq and I am worried that I wont be able to get pregnant. Is there anything that can be perscribed to me to start my period that ISNT birth control.

Period abnormalities can be due to many things including stress, weight gain/loss, thyroid, hormonal imbalance, infection, illness, medications, polyp, cyst, amongst other reasons. The only way to know for sure exactly what is going on is to see your doctor for an exam and testing. A blood test will most likely alos be done to see where your hormone stand. Some women actually will ovulate despite not having a regular period, but this would need to be checked out via testing.
