what does it mean when you spot for about 4 days, and it dissapears?

Im not regular on my peridos i get i t like every 4 mnths or so. my last one was in may. i recently had intercourse with my partner, and i started spotting for about 4 days or so, but then it stopped! can u tell me what it could mean?
