Why is there numbers after a doctor writes a perscription for physical therapy?

The numbers can mean diffent things.

Can you type for me the exact prescription, so that I can enterprit it?

Let me give you one example so you will know what I mean.

SLR 20 X 3 biw

This would be 20 repititions of Straight Leg raises 3 times a week.

A medical Rx may look like this: ii po bid x 14 two by mouth twice a day x 14 days.
