I have dry eye.What causes it and what treatment is there?

Present treatment by Optometrist has been with OPTIVAR,one drop each eye twice daily,
when this did not help,switched to TOBRADEX OP,half inch ribbon to lashes at bedtime as
needed,followed 2 to 3 times during day with one drop OPCON-A,followed by 1 drop SYSTANE,eye lubricant as required.

You may want to ask your doctor for restasis eye drops as these help the tear ducts produce the water needed to assist with dry eyes. Given the fact that all other products used have provided no releif then this may be your best choice.

Restasis eyedrops (cyclosporine in a castor oil base) go one step further: they help your eyes to increase tear production. Restasis treatment is the first of its kind.
