otitis media

I was told I had an ear infection on Teusday and placed on antibiotics. I was seen again Thursday with ni relief and constant pressure and muffled noises and ringing in my ear. I am acutely sensitive to any noise and I feel better in the mornings. I am 42 years old with no major medical history. Could this just require more time? Is there possibly fluid that would need to be drained? I did not have a cold or allergy prior to this just a mild toothache on that same side. Please help!

Hello and Welcome to Just Answer,

Can you tell me what antibiotic the doctor put you on? Also, when you went back on Thursday, did he change your medication? What was his suggestion at that point?
