I am 37 and a half weeks pregnant, and my doctor will not check to see if i am dialated. is this normal?

Do you feel you need to be checked?

Why? Are you experiencing labor symptoms or pre-labor symptoms such as pressure in lower back, general feeling of "something wrong", vaginal spotting, etc?

Reply to Caroline's Post: yes, alot of back pain, to where i cant even sleep at night. Also, i would just kinda like to know if i am dialated, so i know if i can go out of town, plus i am very anxious. my doctor said, that it will delay labor, if he checks me.
