cutsiepie75,

Bleeding and clots after sex is not normal. This could be due to many reasons including cervical dysplasia, chlamydia, gonorrhea, vaginitis or cervicitis, cervical polyps, trichomoniasis, yeast infection, endometriosis or adenomyosis, uterine polyps, and fibroids. Please see your doctor for an exam and testing to determine what the exact cause may be.

Reply to Annie's Post: we were both virgins, so that rules out the std's. we grew up together so we both know that for sure. i wasn't sure if maybe it ment that i had "popped the cherry." the bleeding doesn't concern me as much as the large amount of bloating.

As far as breaking the hymen, this is usually either not noticed, or if it is noticed, it is just a spot of blood and that's it. Your symptoms could be any of the above mentioned so your best bet is to see your doctor to determine the exact cause.

I would definately get checked out as soon as you can, considering that you do have pain and discomfort. If it worsens, then I would immediately go to the ER.
