Ovualtion-Conception
Sent to Health Experts September 18 12:17 PM

I have been off birth control since January, and i have been charting my periods and all that stuff just so i know my cycle, we did nothing except try to have it at what we thought was the right time, every other day--for a few months then i started with the thermometer thing and tried the ovulation kits..with no luck... my problem is my cycle length keeps getting progressivly longer each month, after getting off the pill it was 30 for about 3 months then 3 months it was 34 days and this month it was 36 days... it's so frustrating because i can't pinpoint ovulation and i wonder if this means i may not be ovuating?   I haven't been able to get my doctor to call me back to talk to her. Any advice?

Cards27,

It usually takes about 3 months or so for your body to get back into a regular cycle after going off birth control. As it's been more than that, then your best bet would be to go in to see your doctor to have your hormone levels checked. It could be that they are imbalanced. Your doctor can also determine your ovulation status.
