itchy skin

Sent to Health Experts September 20 12:52 AM

My arms itch so bad at night it just about drives me nuts. It only happens during the fall and winter. It's not dry skin. I use caladryl lotion and lately I've been taking benadryl to help me sleep. I have no rash, no bumps, no signs of scabies. It's only my arms from the inner wrist to the shoulder, never on the back of the arm. What do you think is causing it? Can I take a sleeping pill on top of the benadryl? I need some sleep!

Hello

This can be from molds and pollens in the air from the fall weather, or from things in bloom at this time of year that you are coming in contact with. I suggest seeing an allergist to have some testing done to find the cause.

I would give the doctor a call before taking a sleeping pill and benadryl together.
