ulcer on incision in my colon

Sent to Health Experts September 21 03:05 PM

Recently had a colonoscopy which revealed an ulcer where I had surgery ten years ago for colon ressection. The ulcer was on the part of the colon which was ressected. Why did the Dr. take a biopsy when he did not think it was anything to worry about?

Doctors will do biopsy just to be on the safe side. There is a reason the ulceration is there, and it may be a tumor, but if the doctor said not to worry, I wouldn't.
