I had heard about using norethisterone to delay my period, but I can't find a doctor that will prescribe it. Any advice on finding a doctor that will? If not, is there anything to induce my period?

Hi there, thanks for requesting me.

I must admit I haven't come across a doctor in the UK who wouldn't prescribe a short course of norithisterone. My advice would be a clinic specialising in family planning/Planned parenting or a Gyn as they will have more experience with female hormones. If your primary doctor has not had much experience then they might be cautious. Unfortuantly I cannot recommed a clinic directly but if you try a local clinic and explain the problem, I am sure they will help. The drugs are not overly expensive.

In terms of inducing a period, not an easy thing to do as the hormone balance is less predictable to bring it forward, not within the time frame we have left.

So I'm afraid thats the best I can suggest.

Best wishes
