Question

Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo

Sent to Health Experts September 23, 2006 11:46 p.m.

I started taking Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo on September 3rd, the first Sunday after my period started. Since my period ended, with the exception of the first 2 days, I have had breakthrough bleeding and spotting every single day. I know it takes several months for the body to adjust to the hormones, but is it normal for this to occur EVERDAY for a month? I was wondering if switching to a different type might help or if this is something I will just have to suffer through until my body adapts.

This is normal, however I would at least give it a full month until you start your next period starts and see if it helps. If there is still no change, then you may need a different type of BC. However if it's a lot of bleeding vs just a bit of spotting, then I would let your doctor know. But for now, just give it a little more time.

Hope this helps, If you need anything else please feel free to ask. If you found this helpful don't forget to click the *ACCEPT* button and leave *POSITIVE* feedback.
