This definitely is a thoughtful situation. By what you are describing your ulcers might be infected and the painful vein might indicate an early gangrene. I would advise you to consult your doctor immediately or get a second opinion. The ulcers should be treated and if there is any slogh it should be removed. If the diabetic foot is not stopped at this stage then it might have to be amputated once the gangrene sets in.
In the meantime keep the ulcer areas clean. Apply a local antibiotic cream to the ulcers.
