Sent to Health Experts September 25, 2006 1:50 p.m.

I asked a question on here before about some vaginal irritation I had and the doctor told me it could be fungal or bacterial. I went to my doctor for tests and they all came back fine (no yeast or bacteria). She suggested I use a different soap because certain ones could cause irritation. I changed soaps and detergents and I still have these little sore red spots. The only thing I haven't been tested for is herpes but I thought that was supposed to go away and then come back. These spots only go away during my period. What could this be?

Just as a precaution I would suggest being tested for Herpes.

I would also ask your GYN to check your FSH levels as vaginal itching & burning can be related to a drop in hormonal balance.

The other doctor on here that answered me said it could also be a parasite. Does the culture show parasites or is that a different test?
