I was bit by what people are telling me was a spider. It is a circle a little of 1 inch in diameter. I have had it for at least 5 days. It was an angry red and a perfect circle. Now the circle is jagged and turning a purple color and there is a very, very light yellow ring around that. I no longer have a PCP and do not really want to go to urgent care unless I need to. Should I give it a couple more days to see if it clears up?

Is the area red now or has the redness spread?

Is the area hot to the touch?

Have you noticed any discharge of yellow or brownish material?

Are there any red streaks coming from the circle?

Could you send a picture of this through email. This would help greatly but is not necessarily needed. Thank you. James

Yes it is red, I hesitate to say it has spread, it is no longer a perfect circle it is very jagged some jags bigger than others making it slightly larger than before.
It is not hot to the touch, it has a small brown scab.
And I hate to say yes to red streaks not knowing excatly what you mean like i said it is very jagged now where before it was a perfect circle.
