I have several aging brown spots on my upper torso. One of them is larger (compared to the others); flat, round and scaly (about dime-size). It is on the far side of my left breast. I noticed it a couple of years ago and it hasn't changed much in size or shape or texture, so I haven't had it checked because there are others in that area, only smaller. Two days ago while showering I was checking it and put some cream on it for scaly skin. The top scaly skin sort of rubbed off and there was a thicker spot nearer the center that I peeled off. It is now a lighter shade of tan, and flat (no pain or bleeding). I have noticed since then that there is an area of very faded light pink around it, kind of like the outline shape of a band-aid. The pink could have been there before and maybe I just didn't notice it. I am aging and have all kinds of usual dots & marks on my skin. This area is very delicate and soft-skinned, but the shape of the pale pink has remained the same for 3 days and not changed shape and fades a bit when I am not wearing a bra. It has not bled. Should I be concerned about the brown spot and the "pink" around it?
