Hi

THankyou for your question.

You have arthritis in your neck.( cervical spondylosis).

There should be a disc separating these two vertebrae yours has been "worn away."

Hi

Yes this would represent fairly advanced arthritis.

What symptoms do you have?

Reply to Alexander Irvine's Post: Hi Dr.Al, My Symptoms are- burning pain in my back of my neck that goes into my shoulderblades,
my skin at the back of my neck is very sensitive,
achy pain in my upper Arms (Biceps-Triceps)and achy pain in both wrist and achiness in my fingers.

Dr.Al what about the Autofusion at C5-6 is it severe arthritis or not?

Thanks,
Rob

Hi

Yes - the changes are consistent with advanced ( severe) arthritis - your symptoms are typical of this condition also.

Hi

That simply refers to the shape of you cervical spine - it is in the flexed - bent forward position.

It sounds as if your disease at c5-C6 can probably not get any worse.
