I was recently diagnosed, at age 70, as a type II diabetic. I had recently undergone a total hip replacement. I am taking Avandamet and Glipizide. I have been having problems with what I suspect is a peripheral neuropathy, numbness in my fingers, now improved except for the third and forth fingers of my right hand, and some mild numbness and sensitivity in my toes. I am trying to control my blood sugar level as best I can. Is there anything I can do about the nerve problem?
