My 16 month old has had diahrea for 3 days and her

My 16 month old has had diahrea for 3 days and her vagina is red and swollen and there is no sign of her getting better, she just wants to sleep all day and night and be held all of the time that she is awake. My question is, should we go to the hospital over her red swollen vagina? We were at the doctor's on Thursday and he said it was the bug and just to keep her hydrated.
