Question

HPV

Sent to Health Experts March 05, 2005 6:14 p.m.

I was resently diagnosed with a low-risk HPV virus. First of all, i was taught that HPV= genital warts..does it? If i spread my HPV to someone else, does that mean i’m giving them gential warts? My doctor said that i dont have warts yet but i can get them, what are teh chances of this happening? will i have this for the rest of my life?

You are low risk because you don't have the warts.  Once you develop the warts you are high risk.  You will have it for life unless a cure is developed.  You can spread genital warts.  Nurse Hope

I read that a lot of HPV viruses clear themselves up with time, is this true? If i have low-risk because i dont have the warts, why can i spread warts if i dont have them?
